I believe that the usual waiting period between tragedy and comedy is much shorter when the candidate goes looking for trouble. The Darwin awards are proof of that.

Agreed. I mean, this does suck for his family...but its not like there wasn't any warning against this kind of stupidity.
Though even though none of the riders were hurt...that still would disturb me I think

Well maybe he didn't have a good head on his shoulders, so he tried to remedy that.
