The people at the rally don't have to be racist. BUT, there are certain elements on the radical right that have stirred up controversy using things like the health care bill
Sure, sounds like the left wing on a crapload of issues during the Bush years.

as a smoke screen for their REAL issue. Let's assume for a minute that there were 2 million people at that march. They were all marching to protest something they have only been allowed to hear one side of.
That makes absolutely no sense. Let's say there were two million people there. Now, you really think a majority of those only received the right wing view on the issue, and they did not watch a bit of CNN, or 60 Minutes, or Dateline, or heard/seen one of the many speeches by Obama or Democrats?
That seems a bit...a big stretch. People have heard both sides, much like the anti-war side heard the pro-war side. They might think the pro-war side was crazy, evil warmongering babykiller oil loving capitalists, but they heard the other side.

They've been duped by the likes of Beck and Limbaugh anong others, who, while not being openly racist, don't quite manage to hide the fact they are.
Sigh. I don't agree with that. Beck is crazy, and I don't listen/watch him, but Limbaugh isn't a racist. A sarcastic bastard, sure, but a racist? Unlikely. This seems to be you doing what you're accusing the right wing of doing, only getting one side of the story, and not the other. The fact is, if Limbaugh was truly a racist, the various civil rights organizations would have crucified him a long time ago, like when that DJ (whose name is totally escaping me, sadly) called a women's college basketball team "Nappy Headed Hoes"

Now you can tell me that there are plenty of resources for people to check out the facts on health care reform for themselves. But let's face it, we all know that the majority of NORTH Americans would rather listen to the wags and take their opinion as gospel, rather than educate themselves, or are just too damn partisan to even care.
Sure, I can agree with that, but I'd even say that about Canadians and left wing Americans who hail socialized health care as some sign of God. It's not healthy, no doubt, but this is the reality of the situation.

I'm also not saying that racism is the ONLY force at work here. The health insurance industry is also using health care reform as a smoke screen to protect its own interests. And everyone knows or should know by now, those interests DO NOT include their clientele!
Sigh. So therefore it's racists, and the health care industry that's sending out two million people. Okay. That makes no sense, at all. Is the health care industry opposed to this? Sure, because they're going to be taxed and penalized to death under the bill in its current form. Conservatives, and Republicans, proposed allowing people to get their insurance across state lines, thus allowing much more competitiveness. Government corporations are usually not competitive, not profitable, and commonly subsided, which puts an unfair burden upon private companies who have to compete not only with the unlimited amount of money within government coffers, but also the bureaucrats and politicians who want their "public" solution to succeed to make them more famous, wealthy, and powerful
