Unlike many here, I was never a big fan of his. I have one song, Modern Love, and that's about it.

Thanos Thanos:
Saw the show in Calgary for the Sound + Vision tour back in 1989 or '90. Probably the single best concert I ever saw. No rock 'n' roll stupidity, just music. Today was a huge and bitter loss because there's not many of us old farts that didn't have at least one Bowie song on our personal best-ever list.

Here's mine, probably my favourite song of all time. RIP David.

^^^^^^^^^My favourite as well. :(

Seen him in Edmonton in 83, amazing show.

That song was the end credits for the movie Lone Survivor but with Peter Gabriel doing the vocals.

IIRC, the '83 tour (Let's Dance) I followed him on had 3 groups - The Tubes, Peter Gabriel and then Bowie.

I don't know if I could pick just one favourite song. Or even favourite Album.

"Ashes to Ashes,
Fun to funky,
We know Major Tom's a junkie . . ."

"Let all the children boogie!"

"Remember, they always let you down when you need them!
. . .Is Heaven any sweeter than Blue Jean?"

So many good lyrics. So much great music! I didn't even hate "Black Star". Might even grow on me. :)

And that's not even touching his on-screen career!

"Labyrinth"

I was a casual fan. "Ziggy Stardust" was a good record and I liked the "Modern Love" ("Let's Dance") album because a yet-unknown Stevie Ray Vaughan was the session player and his guitar made that record. But after learning about the whole "baby groupie" thing, Bowie and Jimmy Page, and the other kidnapping child rapists can fucking rot in hell, sorry to say.

Both the Tubes and Gabriel nearly stole the show with their performances. The entire show was completely amazing. Have yet to see a concert that was as complete a show as that one!
